Our Background

Cassava Project Uganda Ltd, a company limited by guarantee, was incorporated in 2024 with the aim of developing a well-structured and managed cassava value chain through mobilizing and organizing cassava smallholder farmers, farm management experts, innovators, marketers and entrepreneurs for the purpose of growing and promoting cassava-related agribusinesses in Uganda.

We are a social enterprise dedicated to transforming Uganda's cassava value chain through enhanced production, value addition, market expansion, and research to create an equitable and sustainable cassava economy that promotes food and nutrition security, agro-industrialization, and social transformation for rural communities.

We embrace the Four-Acre Model for participating households where two acres are dedicated to cassava production, supported by a community-centered financial ecosystem that makes access to finance easier for value-chain actors.
