Our Story
The Cassava Project Uganda Ltd is a social enterprise dedicated to transforming Uganda’s cassava industry by empowering rural farmers, enhancing value addition, and expanding market access. Incorporated in 2024, it operates as a Company Limited by Guarantee, signifying its commitment to equitable and sustainable development, rather than profit maximization.
Our Mission
To mobilize, organize and support rural cassava farmers, particularly women and youth, by providing training, planting materials, certification, and market access to create a vibrant, competitive and sustainable cassava industry.
Our Vision
To be the leading cassava value chain driver, fostering rural economic empowerment through innovation, collaboration, and value addition.

Enterprise Goals and Objectives
The cassava value chain project aims to leverage Uganda’s abundant cassava resources to produce high-quality, sustainable, and value-added products. By focusing on small-holder farmers, post-harvest handling technologies and innovations, mechanization, product quality, market expansion, and social entrepreneurship, this project seeks to contribute to the economic growth of rural Uganda while addressing food security and environmental concerns.
