Our Background

Cassava Project Uganda Ltd, a company limited by guarantee was incorporated in 2024 with the aim of developing a well-structured and managed cassava value chain through mobilizing and organizing Cassava smallholder farmers, farm management experts, innovators, marketers and entrepreneurs for the purpose of growing and promoting cassava related Agri-businesses in Uganda. We are a Social Enterprise dedicated to transforming Uganda's cassava value chain through enhanced production, value addition, market expansion and research to create an equitable and sustainable cassava value chain economy that promotes food and nutrition security, Agro-industrialization for social and economic transformation especially for the rural communities.

We embrace the FOUR-ACRE-MODEL for participating households where by the TWO Acres are dedicated to Cassava production. This is lubricated by an end-to-end community-centric financial based eco-system that eases access to finance by the chain actors and therefore enabling Sacco's, VSLA's and other groups to become micro "social banks" where small holder farmers can borrow and save.

Our principal office is located at Corner House Properties, Kireka Road, Mbuya in Kampala. The company operates under the Business Name of Cassava Project Uganda Ltd and is registered as a Company Limited by Guarantee, (Reg No. 80034708978734).
